LESSONS: 1, 1.5, 2 hours group lessons and private lessons are offered.

TUITION: Payment is due on 1st class of each month. Payments may be automatically charged on the 1st of each month on the credit card on file

Fees for Summer - June, July and August are charged together in June in case you are on a monthly payment plan.

SUPPLY FEE: Annual SUPPLY fee of $120.00 is to be paid by every student joining Falak Art Studio. This includes the paints and painting supplies, it does not include drawing/watercolor pad and canvases. They can be purchased at the studio on availability. Supply fees are non-refundable and cannot be prorated.

CANCELLED/MISSED LESSONS: To maintain the student-teacher ratio, we would like students not coming for a lesson to notify the studio at least a day in advance & SIGN UP for the makeup class. Makeup class/classes need to be scheduled in the same month.

MAKEUP classes for the missed classes will have to be attended ONLINE only, which the students have enjoyed in the past.

(signup link is available for missed class makeup on our website under the MISSED CLASS section of REGISTRATION/ FAQ). Missed lessons are not refundable. Missed make-up lessons are forfeited.

HOMEWORK REQUIREMENTS: Students should have regular non-interrupted homework practice time. Homework assignments will be given at the studio to be followed at home. Homework is highly encouraged as just coming for classes is not enough to perfect their art skills.

SCHEDULE: Falak Arts calendar year runs from mid-September through May of the subsequent year. The summer session runs from June through mid-August. If additions or revisions are made to the schedule during the year, they will be prominently displayed on bulletin boards or on the Falak Arts website, and/or additional handouts and emails will be sent.

STUDIO FACILITIES: It is each student's responsibility to clean up their own art area and maintain a neat workspace.

WITHDRAWAL: If a student must withdraw before the end of any ongoing school year, a 30-DAY WRITTEN NOTICE IS REQUIRED. If a 30-day written notice is not provided, the student is still responsible for the tuition to cover the 30-day period. The notice for withdrawal must be sent via email on or before the 3rd day of any given month in order to prevent the automatic charge for the following month. Students who withdraw during the term and wish to re-enroll will be placed on the Studio waiting list and will be enrolled at the current fee structure. Under certain conditions, a student may be asked to discontinue Art lessons at the Studio. Those conditions include but are not limited to the following:

1) the nonpayment of tuition,

2) excessive absenteeism or tardiness,

3) nonparticipation in required events,

4) continued non-preparation of assignments,

5) consistent disruptive and/or inappropriate behavior.

Parents will be advised, and the student will be placed on probation for 30 days. If at the end of that period the condition persists, lessons will be discontinued. Supply Fees are not prorated/refundable.

PARENT VISITATION and CONFERENCES: Parents are requested to make an appointment to discuss the child’s progress etc. before or after the class or over the phone and not during the class timing to avoid distractions and disturbance to the students.

WAITING AREA and LATE PICK UPS: The waiting area is provided as a courtesy to the students only; it is expected that everyone waits quietly and not disturbs ongoing lessons. Please drop off students no more than five minutes before the scheduled lesson time, and pick them up promptly. Food, drinks, and roughhousing are not permitted in the waiting area or in any area of the studio. Please advise your child not to go outside the studio and to remain seated in the waiting area until a parent comes for them. Parents are required to pick up their children within 5 minutes after the end of their lessons. Falak Art Studio is not responsible for ensuring that any child remains on the premises beyond their class timing. THE WAITING AREA IS PROVIDED FOR THE STUDENTS ONLY!! NO PARENTS ARE PERMITTED TO STAY IN THE STUDIO DURING CLASS TIME! Parents’ presence can be very distracting for the students.

LIABILITY: Parents agree to hold harmless, defend and indemnify Falak Arts, its owners, and all its staff and instructors for any damages and injuries caused by their child to himself/herself and by/or to other persons.

AGREEMENT: When you register for lessons, you will be asked to sign this document that you have read and that you agree to abide by the policies of Falak Art Studio as outlined above. This document will remain in effect as long as the student is enrolled at the Studio.
