At Falak Art Studio in Coppell, Texas, we believe that every artwork is an opportunity for students to observe the world, explore new ideas, and develop their own artistic voice. We are proud to celebrate two of our students whose creativity earned recognition at the 2026 DART Student Art Contest.

Discover New Horizons Through Art

This year’s contest theme, Discover New Horizons, invited young artists to explore the places, experiences, and possibilities that make the Dallas–Fort Worth community special.

Our students responded with imaginative compositions that brought together local landmarks, transportation, familiar surroundings, and visions of what lies beyond the everyday.

Alexis York | Grade 10 Honorable Mention — Grades 9–12 Category


Alexis’s vibrant artwork captures the spirit of discovery through a colorful interpretation of the Dallas–Fort Worth landscape. Regional landmarks, transportation, and Texas-inspired imagery come together in an imaginative composition that celebrates local identity and adventure.

Saharsh Abbaraju | Grade 8 Honorable Mention — Grades 6–8 Category


Saharsh explored the theme through an expressive portrait and an imaginative world of transportation and futuristic possibilities. The artwork combines familiar city elements with creative storytelling, bringing the idea of new horizons to life.

More Than an Art Contest

Preparing artwork for a competition encourages students to look closely, develop ideas, make thoughtful compositional decisions, and communicate meaning through visual elements.

At Falak Art Studio, our curriculum-based approach helps students build artistic skills step by step while developing confidence in their own creative decisions.
